What is Oasis?

Summary: Oasis (by Onyx Data LLC) is a platform that enables Operators to login and perform data trades/ rents or sales of proprietary data.  Since Oasis only holds an inventory of data (like Amazon doesn't hold products), customer security and safety is guaranteed.  Master legal agreements signed upfront cover all types of B2B transactions.

Current Industry Practice:  Most operators gather data as they operate.  In US-Land, most operators trade (exchange like for like) this data with their neighbors to understand geological variability, completion techniques, production responses, etc.  The opportunities for trades are uncovered at (1) conferences where producers publish and present their data-sets or (2) via key individuals within an organizations' networks.  When trades are performed, both parties try to exchange exact like for like (100 ft core for 100 ft core or 20 RCA point for 20 RCA points or PVT for PVT or production for production, etc.).  Unlike datasets are complex and most folks don't know how to evaluate them and understand where value has been given up or gained.
